1. Origins of a Legacy
Our story began decades ago, during the early stages of Vietnam’s agricultural processing industry. Before 1990, there was only one export factory in Phu Tho province dedicated to processing dried bananas, primarily for the former Soviet Union market. This very foundation ignited a passion for clean agricultural products in the hearts of those who would later establish BANACO.
Following the collapse of the Soviet Union in the early 90s, faced with the risk of a long-standing craft fading away, our mother – Ms. Cao Thi Hong – was determined to revive this traditional industry. During those challenging years, she managed to maintain production for the domestic market while handling small-scale exports. Through her tireless hard work and devotion, it was those very batches of dried bananas that allowed her to save, nurture, and raise the six of us to adulthood.
2. From Legacy to a Global Brand
In 2023, when our mother passed away, she left behind an invaluable spiritual legacy and the formulas she had perfected over a lifetime. To honor her memory and carry her dream forward, we committed ourselves to preserving these values, officially scaling up our operations as BANACO Export Processing Technology Joint Stock Company.
Today, our brand is registered and protected in over 40 countries, including key markets such as Russia, the UK, the USA, the European Union (EU), the UAE, China, South Korea,... Our products have successfully conquered the most stringent standards in demanding markets like Russia, the USA, Australia, Japan and European countries, asserting the prestige of Vietnamese agriculture on the global stage.
3. The Synergy of Tradition and Modern Science
At BANACO, every product is a perfect synthesis of past and present. We preserve the traditional secrets passed down from our mother, integrating them with today’s most advanced production technologies. This process ensures that every product retains its full micronutrient content and health-beneficial compounds.
We have dedicated ourselves to the research and development of green banana-based products, most notably BANACO Green Banana Powder – a rich, natural source of Resistant starch and Carbohydrates (comprising >85% of the dry weight of green Cavendish bananas). A 20-year study by the University of Newcastle and the University of Leeds (UK), published in the prestigious Cancer Prevention Research journal, highlights that supplementing resistant starch can significantly aid in cancer prevention. The findings show a reduction of over 60% in the risk of upper gastrointestinal cancers, including the esophagus, stomach, and pancreas.
By utilizing modern drying technology, BANACO Green Banana Powder preserves this natural resistant starch entirely. While it is not a medicine, it serves as a "golden food" for proactive healthcare, embodying our commitment to products that are pure, delicious, and nutritionally superior.
4. Sustainable Cultivation and Certified Production Quality
To ensure quality from the roots, BANACO manages approximately 500 hectares of specialized land for bananas and other crops. Furthermore, through strategic partnerships, we have expanded our sustainable growing areas to over 1,000 hectares across Vietnam. The entire cultivation process is supervised by expert engineers from the Netherlands and the Philippines.
Our facility spans nearly 20,000 m², operating a closed-loop system with state-of-the-art drying technology. BANACO is proud to hold prestigious domestic and international certifications, ensuring total transparency and safety:

5. Capacity and Vision
With robust production capabilities, we supply over 100 tons of finished dried bananas and 150 tons of high-quality banana cereal powder to the market every month. Our products are widely available in Vietnam and are continuously exported to Russia, Australia, South Korea, China, and beyond.
